Torchlight 3 launches Oct. 13 on PlayStation 4, Home windows PC by way of Steam, and Xbox One, Echtra Video games introduced on Tuesday. A model for Nintendo Change will comply with later in 2020.
The announcement caps a two-year interval through which the sequel to 2012’s Torchlight 2 started as Torchlight Frontiers, with ambitions of a free-to-play massively multiplayer on-line sport set in a “shared, persistent [and] dynamically generated world.”
However in the beginning of 2020, Max Schaefer, a co-founder of the Torchlight franchise and the chief government of Echtra Video games, stated “we discovered Torchlight Frontiers was meant to be a real successor to Torchlight I & II.”
Schaefer, one of many growth leads for Diablo 2, based Echtra Video games in 2016. Echtra took over growth of the Torchlight collection following the 2017 closure of unique studio Runic Video games. Echtra, like Runic, is owned by Good World Leisure.
Torchlight 3 is $39.99. Those that have the Steam Early Entry model will robotically get the complete model on PC free.
